„Advent, Advent, ein Lichtlein brennt“. As you can hear from this song, the Advent season is just around the corner and this sock, in the colour of the poinsettia, makes the beads shine like the baubles on the Christmas tree

This toe-up sock pattern is written in 3 sizes (60, 64 and 68 stitches), with a short-row heel and a small gusset to give more ease at the instep.

You will need approx. 50 g of a main colour and 20 g of a contrasting colour, depending on the size and width you are knitting and depending if you choose to knit the toe and the ribbing in plain colour or with stripes.
You will need 10 seed beads size 6/0 and 100 seed beads size 8/0 per sock - there are 10 baubles around each sock.

The instructions are written for a circular needle. If you use DPNs, you will use 2 needles for the sole stitches and 2 needles for the instep stitches.

No need to worry about a jog when knitting the stripes. It is hidden most of the time except in the beads motif and the last stripe. I have added a link
