Striped Stash Buster Blanket
When I started this stash buster blanket, I wanted something handsome for my son’s room. He’d just turned 4 and was ready to graduate from the toddler decor and I was definitely excited about that.
One thing I wasn’t ready to do was dish out the cash for yarn. Fortunately, a friend of mine had just destashed and I gladly took several trash bags full off her hands. Going through the yarn, I knew it would be known as the Blanket of Many Colours. There were several balls of scrap and most were not labeled, but those that were appeared to be vintage yarns with price tags from Woolworth at $1.27. I must admit I loved that! That being said, I can only guide colours and not make official recommendations. This is where your creativity comes in!
When I started it, he had a full sized bed, but as his furniture grew and his toy stash grew, we went to a twin so this was much more manageable. The length of his completed blanket is the width for a full sized bed, but can also fit a queen. Double the number of rows and you have a full sized cover.
My paid patterns support my son’s education and therapies.
Thanks for your support!
