Striped Ladies Fingerless Mitts
The unusual crochet fingerless mitts are a great way to use up oddments of yarn. Whether you’re looking for a striking contrast or a subtle colour change, you’re sure to find a combination you love.
The mitts are approximately 22 cm (8½) in length - thumb covering is optional but included for those that like a little extra coverage.
YOU WILL NEED 150 m DK yarn in Colour A, 150 m DK yarn in Colour B, 3.50 mm hook and a needle for neatening ends. In the example, Colour A is purple and Colour B is variegated lilac.
Gauge may be adjusted for two different hand sizes.
Small/Medium size has a hand circumference of 17.5 cm (7”) Medium/Large size has a hand circumference of 20 cm (8”).
GAUGE for Small/Medium Mitts - A single ‘crescent moon’ and 6 rows to 1¾” when worked in DK.
GAUGE for Medium/Large Mitts - A single ‘crescent moon’ and 6 rows to 2” when worked in DK.
