Striped Illusion
by Lynne Barr
From Knitting New Scarves:
While designing this scarf I revisited a color exercise I was assigned in a basic design course in college: to use dark and light stripes to create an optical illusion. Here, the alternating colored stripes are used to create larger shapes that appear to be layered on top of each other while in actuality they are flat.
