Striae
Striae is a textured raglan sweater. The simple textured pattern is a 12-stitch, 16-row repeat. Within these 16 rows, the bands of textured pattern or striae are worked over 6 rows and the remaining 10 rows of the repeat are stocking stitch. The easy rib detail on the side edges follows up from the lower band, into the raglan armhole shaping and finally into the neckband. The rib panels provide additional width around the hip and bust; but then naturally pull in around the waist.

I love to design garments that I enjoy wearing and Striae falls into that classification. It is one of those sweaters that anyone can wear, every day and for any purpose.
The sweater is knitted in separate pieces, beginning at the lower edge, and is seamed using mattress stitch. It features K2, P2 rib bands and fashioned raglan sleeves.
The back and front pieces are alike and do not have neck shaping. Instead, the sleeve raglan is slightly wider at the top edge and this gives depth to the neckline.
Intermediate knitting skills are required.
