The Storytime Pocket Shawl is worked mostly in garter stitch & seed stitch which makes this quite quick project! The shawl is designed for bulky weight yarn and it is worked flat on circular knitting needles.

Knitting needles: US 10 / 6mm circular knitting needles 23” / 60 cm OR size to obtain gauge – needle size is
only a suggestion!

Notions: Tapestry needle, cable needle, 2 pcs buttons (0.8 inches / 2cm diameter)
Crochet hook size 5-6 mm for making fringes.

Finished Measurements: Approx. Width 15 inches (38 cm) x length 60 inches (154 cm) after blocking. (without fringe).

Techniques: Cable knitting, garter stitch, seed stitch, bind off.

▪ First, the shawl is worked in flat on circular knitting needles
▪ The stitches for the pocket are picked up
and pockets are worked following the chart for the cable pattern.
▪ Once pocket is complete, sew down the sides onto the shawl.
▪ The fringe is attached on both ends of the shawl.
