Stone Walls Vest
“It is said that in Irish Knitting, the diamond lattice represents both prosperity and the stone walls surrounding the fields of western Ireland.” Folk Knitting p. 44
- Three sizes are given ranging from 38-51 inches (96.5-129.5cm).
- This cabled vest is worked in the round to the armholes and then divided and worked flat to the top.
- The cable pattern is shown in graph form with a stitch key.
- 24 inch circular needles in both sizes and a 16 inch circular needle in the smaller size are required. A cable needle, markers and stitch holders are also needed.
