This pattern is made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shetland Wool Week!

The cowl is inspired by Shetland – the star from the fairisle patterns, the texture and the colours from the sea and the sky, and from the grass and the peat. The cowl is worked in broken seed stitch and the stars are created using slip stitch technique. Throughout the pattern you change between broken seed stitch and the slip stitch pattern that creates the stars on each round. The techniques are not complicated, but you need to pay attention when and where you change between the two.

The cowl comes in two sizes:
Small (large): Circumference 56 (60) cm Height 24 (25) cm.

The two sizes are achieved by differences in gauge:
Small (large): 25 sts and 48 rows (23 sts and 46 rows) to 10 by 10 cm.
