The name of this pattern is Stina. My work name for it was “pattern on pattern” and that describes the mittens well. The idea is to have fun with different patterns, just using two colors. Using a different color just for one or two braids is an option too.
The sizes of the mittens are womens small/medium and medium/large.
The mittens are worked in the round from the bottom to top using 5 double pointed needles, followed by knitting the thumb using 4 double pointed needles.
Begin with needles US 1 (2.25 mm) for size small/medium, US 1.5 (2.5 mm) for size medium/large and knit the cuff chart. Then change to needles US 1.5 (2.5 mm) for size small/medium, US 2 (2.75 mm) for size large and knit until you finish the chart.

For a pair of mittens you will need 1 skein of each color. (Kambgarn)

Stína er nafnið á þessum vettlingum. Þegar uppskriftin var í vinnslu kallaði ég hana “munstur á munstur ofan” og er það einmitt góð lýsing á vettlingunum. Hugmyndin er að njóta þess að prjóna mismunandi munstur með aðeins tveimur litum. Einnig er sniðugt að prjóna einhverja af lettnesku fléttunum með öðrum lit.
Í uppskriftina eru notaðir 5 prjónar nr. 2.25 mm og 2.5 mm fyrir stærð small/medium og nr. 2.5mm og 2.75 mm fyrir strærð medium/large.
Fyrir eitt par af vettlingum þarf eina dokku af Kambgarni af hvorum lit.
