Stellaria is a lightweight lace beret worked top down, named after “Stellaria media”, which is a small, delicate spontaneous flower with ten petals (actually five divided into two ends).
The work is started with an i-cord CO and continued in a traditional estonian stitch pattern, repeated 10 times-petals.
The brim is worked in a lace rib, completed by a picot edge. This last detail, together with the lightness of the fabric, makes this hat resembling an old-style bonnet, yet it remains absolutely modern.
Stellaria was designed to be worn together with the coordinated shawl Pallini.
