Stealing Christmas Vest
The Stealing Christmas Vest, named after The Grinch because of the sample colors, is a cozy project that can be worn in countless ways as a layered piece or used as a blanket. The suggested yarn, Lion Brand Heartland, has a wide range of great color options to provide adventurous color play on this stitchwork. The stitch pattern is a fairly easy 24-row repeat that becomes intuitive as you go, making this a meditative & useful product for the holiday season.
Pattern is worked flat, meaning you will turn for every row. Do not cut yarn at end of rows; carry inactive yarn up side of work.
Vest is constructed from side to side in rows to create a rectangular fabric with gaps for armholes.
Stitches make length while rows make width.
Two colors needed:
Color A: 5, 5, 6 skeins of Heartland in “Redwood” or approximately 1146, 1220, 1294 yards of medium weight level 4 yarn
Color B: 4, 4, 4 skeins of Heartland in “Haleakala” or approximately 768, 818, 867 yards of medium weight level 4 yarn
