This scarf is knit side to side, in garter stitch. There are three sections to the scarf. The I-cord top edge is three stitches, the star section is the increase and decrease section, and the edging is the stripe pattern. All three sections are included in the charts.

The scarf can be modified to be wider by adding cast on stitches in the “star” section. It would also then be shorter, unless more yarn is used.
