The body and sleeves are worked in the round to the neck shaping. The armholes are steeked, with interfacing on top of the sleeves to cover the raw edge. The neck has interfacing on all four sides. The colourwork; the stars and the stripes, is worked with the Fairisle technique. To avoid long yarn runs when working the stars, twist the yarns on the WS, but make sure not to do it at the exact same place two rounds in a row.
