DESCRIPTION

One of my favorite paintings is Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night. I thought it would be fun to interpret it in sock form. The socks don’t really look at all like the painting, but they still remind me of it.

You will need to pay attention to the chart while you’re knitting these; it’s not a pattern you can memorize. There are some long stretches between colors, and you need to catch the floats loosely so the socks still stretch.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited by Amanda Rawls (KettleAndString).

A NOTE ON FIT

The fabric is fairly firm. The sock doesn’t stretch much when you’re pulling it on over your heel, but it will be comfortable when you’re wearing it.
