Starfish Wishes
The star and the starfish are both seen as celestial symbols and totems of good luck. In cultural myth and legend, the meaning of starfish ranges from the symbolism of infinite divine love, sensitivity, perception, and immortality.
Starfish Wishes is a crescent shaped shawl, which uses tiny star stitches and lace wavelets spreading out to a generous wingspan, with a gently undulating border created by the lace sections and picot border.
The sections of lacy wavelets make for a relaxing knitting experience, with the star stitches making for a challenge and interesting texture. An adventurous beginner will find the lace stitches easy to memorize but will keep seasoned knitters interested.
