The moment I laid eyes on the golden green that Dragonfly Fibers dyed for this piece, I was transported to a dappled summer forest. The highlights within this lush green look just like shifting light among evergreens and brush. The contrasting pink made me think instantly of the wildflowers that grow near my home in the Pacific NW.

I designed the Starfall scarf/wrap with a particular wildflower in mind - the Shooting Star. The Shooting Star flower has an unusual structure, with bright pink petals curved back to form an arrow-like shape that tapers into a narrow, dark stamen.

The Starfall scarf is similarly unusual. It starts as an elongated triangle, worked starting at the narrow end, and shifts midway through, to become a wide rectangular shape, worked in brilliant, wild-petal-pink.
