Stardust
Stardust is a pretty, crescent shaped shawl with an applied lace border. Star stitch panels add texture to the plain stocking stitch body whilst the traditional Shetland lace edging makes for a light and airy finish.
Previously published in Knit Now Magazine, this revised edition contains two recipes for making the most of that special skein of 4ply/fingering that we all have in our stash: version one for those who like to knit away, knowing there will be enough to finish their project; and version two for those who like to live life a little more dangerously and are not averse to a game of yarn chicken!
Version One has fewer rows in the body which means less
border stitches, one less repeat of the border pattern and
therefore less yarn needed. The darker blue sample is knit to
this recipe.
Version Two has extra rows in the body, extra border
stitches and one more repeat of the border pattern. The
lighter blue sample is knit to this recipe.
The pattern contains both written and charted instructions for the lace border.
