Star Stitch Dishcloth
Crochet pattern for a dishcloth with a pretty star stitch pattern.
This smooth, unfussy design is easy to work with this fully-illustrated pattern, and it’s a great way to learn to crochet the star stitch. The dishcloth design includes a neat edging for a ‘finished’ look and an optional hanging loop making your finished cloths easily nice enough to give as gifts.
The finished star stitch dishcloth is 20cm or 8inches square but the pattern includes how to vary the size and other aspects of the basic design should you wish to.
To complete one dishcloth you will need:
- 75m (80yards) of aran (worsted weight, Category 4) yarn
- 4mm (US: G-6) crochet hook
- a blunt yarn needle
This is an ideal pattern for a crochet beginner. Each step is fully illustrated with colour photos and tips are provided throughout. Plus all my crochet patterns come with my full e-mail support for any equation whatsoever.
For more experienced crocheters or once you are familiar with the pattern, the file also includes a one-page unillustrated pattern in standard crochet notation for ease of printing and quick reference. The best of both worlds!
The pattern includes detailed notes on yarn choice.
This pattern is available in both UK and US crochet terminology. Both files will be available for you on purchase and you can choose whichever you prefer to use.
