This pattern includes instructions to make either a fitted collar or a cowl. Each features an eyelet pattern that stacks slipped stitches on top of each other.

Both versions are knit in the round. The collar fits closely around the neck and expands to drape over the shoulders. It has a band of stacked stitches at the top and bottom separated by a wide section of stockinette.

The cowl is worked straight from one edge to the other, alternating between stripes of stacked threads and thin lines of stockinette. The circumference of the cowl can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of cast on stitches.

Finished Measurements:
Collar: 18” / 46cm in circumference at top, 26” / 66cm in circumference at bottom; 10” / 25.5cm deep
Cowl: 29” / 74cm in circumference and 9” / 23cm wide

Yarn:
Collar: 275 yds / 250 m of fingering or sport weight yarn
Cowl: 375 yds / 343 m of fingering or sport weight yarn

Needles:
US Size 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle, 16 (24)“ / 40 (60) cm in length

Gauge:
26 sts x 35 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch
