St Machar Wrap
The details in the gorgeous St. Machar Wrap were inspired by the architecture of the cathedral of the same name in the designer’s town of Aberdeen, Scotland. Framed on four sides by garter stitch, this wrap is worked back and forth from one end to the other in two colors.

Finished Size 16 ¼“ wide and 60 ¾” long.
Yarn Blue Sky Fibers Baby Alpaca (100% baby alpaca; 110 yd 100 m/ 1 ¾ oz 50 g): #542 Currant (A) and #507 Natural Light Gray (B), 5 skeins each.
Needles Size 4 (3.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 24 sts and 25 rows = 4” in charted patt.

This wrap is worked back and forth from end to end.

The colorwork chart is worked using the stranded method. Always pick up the background color over the pattern color and pick up the pattern color from under the background color; this will prevent tangling. Keep floats loose. For floats longer than two stitches, tack stranded yarn on wrong side of work.
