Squonk (Lacrimacorpus dissolvens)
The Squonk (Lacrimacorpus dissolvens) is a self-aware king. Not only is he ugly, but he knows it all too well! Painfully aware of his appearance, he continually sheds tears, and hides from his reflection, which highlights his misfitting skin, moles, and warts. A nocturnal cryptid native to the hemlock forests of Pennsylvania, Squonks are notoriously difficult to capture, for in their distress, they are likely to cry themselves into a puddle!
So why not show a Squonk some love? Bring folklore to life by crocheting a Squonk of your own, and maybe you can build his confidence and dry his tears.
This crochet pattern includes instructions to crochet a Squonk measuring approximately 8” long x 5” tall x 4” wide. It is of intermediate difficulty and comes with over 40 progress photos.
Prior knowledge of crochet techniques is required to complete this project. This pattern requires a size f (3.75mm) crochet hook, worsted weight yarn, and 8mm safety eyes, and polyfil.
