Squirrel Appliqué
Squirrels are ubiquitous in my part of the world -- nearly as large as cats . They radiate optimism and energy as they traverse high wire
highways and ascend the reaching trees to leap across rooftops.
I designed this for my 2016 International Freeform Challenge piece.
It can be made in any yarn though I recommend that the hook
be a size or two smaller than that suggested for the yarn weight.
It’s worked firmly but not tightly. The pattern examples shown are a worsted weight worked with an F/3.75mm hook.
