Sprout, the first shawl design of year 2018. It took longer than I expected to complete this pattern due to the new life with a newborn.

Just like most other bottom-up shawl designs of mine, this pattern can be easily customized to any larger sizes as desired. There are cable stitches, twisted stitches to play with and not forget the simple but beautiful reverse stockinette stitches at the later part of the shawl.

I purchased these beautiful fingering yarn during my trip revisit Edinburgh five years ago. How I wish one day I could go to Shetland and visit Jamieson’s.
