The Dark Crystal film has been a favorite of mine since it was released in 1982. When The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance aired, I was enthralled. It’s not surprising the rich imagery and captivating story inspired me to design. This cowl is inspired by the Spriton Gelfling Clan who live in the prairie region of Thra. Their emblem has light and dark turquoise. I live in the prairie desert. When I was young, you could see for miles before the Flatirons sprang up in a hard wall. The flat land was dotted with bursts of prairie grass. This cowl emulates those tufts of grass in gorgeous shades of turquoise framed in neat I-Cord edging.
