This sock was born from my inability to knit a plain vanilla sock. I keep trying to knit plain vanilla socks but when I get to the top I simple must add some sprinkles. This lace and cable pattern is perfect for spring and summer wear. The easy-to-memorize makes it a great traveling sock. The lace pattern is bold enough to stand up to self-striping yarns as well as some variegateds.

Pattern is worked from toe up on circulars or dpns utilizing a wide toe and a ridiculously easy reverse gusset heel which is a better fit than the standard short row heel. Pattern includes instructions for either Plain Vanilla foot, worked in stockinette stitch or the Vanilla with Sprinkles foot, with the lace pattern worked along the top of the foot.
