ecoming a grandmother to a beautiful grandson, having your own brand of hand-dyed yarns, and also knitting as a hobby— with that combination, it was bound to happen. All kinds of things are being knitted and created with our grandson in mind. First, a lovely blanket for his crib and stroller, and now also a sweater. Of course, it had to be a colorful sweater because, well, I love color (luckily, my daughter-in-law does too, so I can knit anything I like, no color is too wild).

I chose a top-down sweater with raglan sleeves and knitted it with double strands. For this version, I used one strand of our new self-striping yarn, always combined with one strand of Simple Sock mini. The stripes are softened by the speckled minis, creating a unique gradient effect.
