A Granny stitch tank top, made from the top down, meaning it can be easily customised to fit however you like. Make it plain or striped or use a colour changing yarn for easy colour work.

Made in double knit weight yarn and a 4mm hook, this pattern is designed so that you can float your yarns down the sides of your top, to avoid weaving in lots of ends. There are two video tutorials linked in the pattern to show you how to do this. You can use any number of colours and customise the length easily by adding more or less rounds.

The underarm joins are also customisable, meaning you can add extra width under the arms for a looser fit, or vice versa. If you prefer a snug fit under the arms, but a looser fit around the bust, there are optional increases which you can add as you approach the full bust.

In the photos, there are two versions of the S size tank. The top with the orange ribbing does not have any increases and therefore has 2cm of positive ease, whereas the top with the pink ribbing has one set of increases just below the armholes, and has 6cm of positive ease.
