Spring has Sprung Blanket
This is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
It uses DK yarn. You can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 400g of yarn. 100g for each panel and 100g for the separating sections and the border.
I used:
200g of Stylecraft DK in Shrimp (Colour A)
100g of Stylecraft DK in Apricot(Colour B)
100g of Stylecraft DK in White (Colour C)
If using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required, and scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.
A larger blanket will need more yarn.
If following this pattern your finished blanket will be approximately 26 inches by 32 inches
The pattern consists of written instructions as well as a chart. There are instructions on how to amend the size of the blanket too.
