Spring Festival
After designing both colorwork and lace-patterned cowls for a number of years, I recently posted a photo of a cowl with a flared bottom on social media and asked for feedback. It was unanimous from the knitters who replied that a lower-edge flare would help the cowl stay in place, better display the design, and should be added to my cowl designs—and so I have here. The motifs for this one are traditionally Shetland, as is the yarn, although my goal was a Chinese color aesthetic with the shades I’ve chosen.
