Sprigs of gay flowers adorn this cosy white cabled box coat. Blanket wool is the yarn used, therefore the result is achieved in record-breaking time. It swings debonairly as you walk and will attract admiration wherever you go.

Materials: 8 skeins Sun-Glo Shrinkproof Blanket wool.
1 pair 6.5 mm needles (Old UK No. 3). Colored wools for embroidery. 1 crochet hook, and double-pointed spare needle for the cables.

Measurements: Length from top of shoulder, 23 inches. Bust, 32-34 inches. Length of sleeve seam, 19 inches.

This year, you can’t get wools in the great range and variety of previous seasons. That, of course, is because of the Government’s needs for the army.
But the output of our knitting mills is still sufficient for civilian needs, and the range and variety of yarns are still very good. More than ever, of course, we want to knit garments for ourselves and our families, and so help relieve the shortage of woollen fabrics.
Before deciding on this year’s designs I went along with our knitting expert and inspected all available yarns. There are adequate stocks of the yarns I selected for these lovely garments.
