Spoon-billed sandpiper is the critically endangered species in Korea, which has a beautiful spoon-shaped bill.

Construction Notes

Spoon-billed sandpiper is worked flat. Begin at the tail and progress towards the head. Stuff the body and sew the edges together using mattress stitch.
To make the bill, pick up stitches on the head and knit in the round. Regs are worked an i-cord separately and joined later using tapestry needle.
