Splendiferous Sea Anemone
This Giant Green Sea Anemone was originally designed for an aquarium and is true to life in size and color. It is missing a couple of rows of tentacles (there are limits!), and although these tentacles fold in, in real life, the tentacles fold all the way out of sight when pulled in. It lives along the northwest coast of the US.
An intermediate level knitter should have no trouble with this pattern although there are a lot of techniques used. You will need to know how to do wrap and turn, circular knitting on dp needles, picking up stitches and Icord.
Use any yarn, but yarn that includes at least 50% wool will hold the shape better. I used Knitpicks Palette fingering yarn, 231 yds/50g, colors Alfalfa for the tentacles and Clover for the stem. Gauge is not important except that the fabric be tight enough that the stuffing does not show through. I used size 4 needles.
