the birch tree is a magical tree that
symbolizes birth & new beginnings. ♥
it is the celtic tree for the beginning of the year.

my grandmother used to tell me to
write my wishes on the little strips
of bark that had naturally fallen off
of the birch trees in her garden. ♥

the scarf is knitted in the round like a tube
& then felted in the washing machine.
the wispy spirit fringe is added afterwards
& slightly felted by hand.

guess what? for the gauge check you get to
knit a little fun birch cuff! :) i wear mine all the time.
