Using spirals to create stripes in this crocheted hat gives you a stretchy fabric without any unsightly seams. Combining a lovely hand-dyed yarn with a complimentary solid color yarn can give you even more textural interest.

For the sample I used approximately 63 yards of the multi-colored yarn and 93 yards of the solid color.

The Round Mountain Fibers worsted is a bit on the heavier size so if you are substituting yarns you want to keep that in mind.
