Spiral
The ‘Spiral’ panel was constructed out of sixty 2 coloured squares, squares that were knitted from one corner to another with a change over of colour at the half way point (pattern available in Chapter 1).
The ‘Spiral’ panel was attached with cable ties to the side of one of the unused bus shelters in St George’s square. It was one of the first yarn bomb patterns you would see as you approached the bus station from John William Street.
The panel layout starts off with a block of 4 squares and then radiates out with each arm of the spiral following the colours of the rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green. Blue, Indigo and Violet.
This chapter includes the ‘Spiral’ panel schematic with ideas as to how to design your own throw or cushion cover front using the same principles.
