Spinal Column Shawl
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This shawl is made with a Q hook and 4 strands of scrap yarn. However, you can use worsted weight and an I/5.5mm hook. It will just take more rows to complete. I used the extended double crochet stitch. There is a photo tutorial on my pattern page. The center line of double shells represent the vertebra of the spine. My friend Carol makes these for gifts to those who need an extra “backbone” to help them stand up to their issues. With only 14 rows, it’s a quick project and you’ll probably have it finished in a week-end. Good scrap busting project or prayer shawl.
