This pattern consists of four all-over lace stitch patterns traditionally used in the centres of shawls.

The samples were knit with laceweight yarn on 3.25mm needles but the patterns can be used with any yarn and needles in a size to suit.

Originally published in 1891, these patterns have been updated into modern knitting language, corrected, charted and test knit.
