Speleology
For more information, se Knitcircus.
Speleology is the scientific study of caves. While not a real speleologist, I am fascinated by caves. In many, centuries of water dropping from the cave roof, have created beautiful stone formations, called stalagmites and stalaktites.
This sock celebrates this fascinating phenomenon. Cables decrease and increase down the leg, and continue down the foot to create a thick fabric to keep your feet warm. The toe and heel are reinforced with a slip stitch pattern, both for warmth and durability.
Blocking is essential to make the cables relax, and to make the space between them open up properly.
