The weather’s starting to turn in my part of the world and that means I’m totally ready to be snuggled up in a blanket, making blankets and buying ALL THE YARN. While I love the original Coastline Sunburst Hexie Blanket Pattern— this super chunky version has my heart singing! Just like last years Special Edition Island Time Blanket, this one is quick to work up-the colour combinations are endless, and the result is a giant blanket my entire family can curl up under. Movie night…here we come :)
This pattern is worked up using the large sunburst hexagon.
The pattern uses Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick (160yds/170g) and a 9mm hook (size M/N).
Pattern includes all colours used and the yarn quantities as well as exact positioning. My gift to you is taking the work out of colourwork!
Now that the CAL (crochet-a-long) for this blanket is complete…this pattern will include the two other samples I made throughout the CAL and those colours/quantities as an appendix at the end of the pattern. Please see last 4 photos for additional colour combos.
The final blanket size was: Approximately 56” x 82” inches.
Pattern will include:
- yarn amounts/quantities. includes 3 colours combos: the original, Autumn and Christmas colours.
- yarn colours/colour legend.
- stitch glossary.
- printable pdf of blanket graph.
- full colour chart of all squares and their positioning so you can make this EXACT colour copy!
- full written instruction for the hexagon used (large sunburst hexie).
- written and video tutorial for border.
- video tutorials for the hexie as well as the continuous join as you go method (CJAYG).
Happy Crocheting Everyone!
