Design:
This design is simple in appearance, but features neatly placed increases on the front and back, and decreases on the shoulders, which make it a little bit different than your basic tank top!

Fit:
Measurements shown above are the circumference of the finished top. I suggest you choose a size that measures approximately ½ - 3 inches more than your actual full chest measurement.

How it’s Knit:
It is knit from the top down, in one piece. You begin with a provisional cast on, and then a little yoke is knit in the round with increases and decreases, before you divide it into shoulder, front, and back sections. After the back and front pieces are knit flat, the body is knit in the round. At the end, the neckline and armholes are finished with i-cords.

Yarn:
You can use any yarn that gives you the pattern gauge and a fabric you like. The sample was knit in Sandnesgarn DUO, and some other options are listed above. Plant based fibres are great for a summer tank top, and wool fibres would work well for wearing it as a vest.

The amounts below are based on a body length from the underarm that measures 11 inches (28 cm) for sizes XXS-S2, 11¾ inches (30 cm) for sizes M1-M2, 12½ inches (32 cm) for sizes L-3X, and 13 inches (34 cm) for sizes 4X-6X.
