If you are looking for last minute Valentine day gift idea, I have a “last minute” written pattern for you, which if FREE for limited time! I definitely overdone myself to design something new, write a pattern, draw diagrams, take pictures, tested the pattern in only 3 days. So let me introduce…

Sova Amigurumi
Sova means owl in Russian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech and a bunch of other languages and my most favorite and lovely bird since I remember myself ;o)

This pattern is pretty versatile. Made with sport weight yarn, these lovebirds can be used as home decor (they are settled on my desk) or as a bag accessory. Crocheted with fine or thread weight yarn they will make a cute keychain. Crocheted with worsted or bulky yarn they will make a pillow or a toy – just change eye-buttons to crocheted eyes (I think I would love to try to make a pillow, let me see ;o))

Sport weight (#2 Fine).
Owleta (Option 1): Omega Perle (100% mercerized cotton; 178 yd 163 m/1.76 oz 50 g): 1 ball of each #522 pink (MC), #520 light pink, #519 canary and #527 mint.
Owliver (Option 2): Omega Perle (100% mercerized cotton; 178 yd 163 m/1.76 oz 50 g): 1 ball of each #514 light turquoise, #515 turquoise, #519 canary and #529 lime green.

CROCHET HOOK
Size C/2 (2.75 mm)

NOTIONS
• fiberfill
• 2 size 20 mm sew-on eyes (shown by Darice)
• Sewing needle and coordinating thread
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

• 5 size 9/16” (13 mm) white flower buttons (shown: La Mode Buttons, style #49224)

28 sc x 14 rows = 4” (10 cm).
