This pattern accompanies the Special Topics in Finishing article on how to work bands on V-neck sweaters and vests. The samples show two ways to work neckbands. One uses the Central Double Decrease and the other requires a bit of seaming. There is just one pattern but it indicates the differences between Version 1 and Version 2.

Both versions feature a chevron design worked in reverse stockinette below the neckline, which reminds me of the classic design on Charlie Brown’s shirt.
