Solus is a “one-skein wonder” for those larger, single skeins of sport, dk or worsted weight that seem to linger in my stash. I find that I can’t resist the color, (especially those one-of-a-kind colorways), so I’ll end up with one lone skein that’s too little yardage for a sweater and too much for a shawl. This pattern is a quick-knit and is easily adjusted based upon available yardage. The modified knit one, purl one stitch pattern coupled with simple garter stitch makes for a lovely textured and cozy shawl, and a touch of lace adds elegance and drape. The lace section is both written and charted. The resulting fabric works with both variegated and semi-solid skeins and is reversible. So dig in your stash, pick your skein and knit away!
