Sognare
Sognare starts with a beautiful variegated yarn from The Fiber Seed. The body of the shawl is worked sideways in garter stitch. A fun wrap-and-turn technique is used in the body of the shawl to create live stitches to be worked in the lace edging later. A second solid-colored yarn is used for the feather-and-fan edging.
I named this shawl Sognare (“to dream” in Italian) because I took a nap one day and had a dream about this shawl and this fun construction. Hooray for shawl dreams!

Yarn used for shawl shown: The Fiber Seed, Sprout, 90% superwash merino wool/10% nylon (510 yards/133g), in colors Interstellar (CA – 1 skein) and Deep Purple (CB – 1 skein)
