The Soft Feathers vest is knitted from the top down.
First, the back yoke is worked with increases on both sides, creating the European shoulder construction.
Once the desired yoke height is reached, stitches are picked up along the shoulders, and each front piece is worked separately down to the armhole.
The back and fronts are then joined at the armholes, and the body is worked in one piece to the hem.
All edges are worked in moss stitch (knit st over purl st, and purl st over knit st) using Colour A, while the rest of the garment is knitted in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side) using Colour B.
All colour changes are made using the intarsia technique.
