Sock Stash Shawl
I don’t know about you, but I always have a big wad of yarn left after I complete a pair of socks. The four hundred plus yards is way more than I need. So, I thought it would be great fun to use up some left-over sock stash. This shawl is crescent shaped and snuggles around your shoulders and stays put. It is fun to knit, easy and beautiful to wear.
The main portion is worked alternating two colors using a simple slip-stitch pattern. The teal (MC) uses about 285 yards and the lovely hand-painted yarn (CC1) uses about 210 yards. The peplum or ruffle (CC2) uses 525 yards but alternate directions are given to keep this closer to 410 yards with a shorter peplum.
The shawl starts with a garter-tab cast on.
