I made this pair of arm warmers to go with my Secret Paths and Hidden Daisies Poncho. after all, what good is a poncho if we are left with cold arms?

The arm warmers in this pattern were made with a lot of double coloured strands of yarn, except the Katia Azteca (self-striping) ribs in the beginning and the end. This makes these arm warmers fairly thick. You can make them less thick by using single strands. When using single strands, you will need about 200 meters of yarn to make them.

They were made with a 6mm/US: J hook because of the choice of double yarn. It is advised to match your hook with your choice of yarn. Most yarns indicate recommended hook sizes. Medium sized yarns (DK, sport, worsted and Aran weight) will work wonders.

The stitches used are:
Ch – chain
Sl st – slip stitch
Dc – double crochet
FPdc – front post double crochet
BPdc – back post dc
Puff (explained in pattern)

The arm warmers in this pattern are 37cm/14.5 inch long. They are tighter at the wrists (the beginning of the pattern, as well as just around the elbows to make sure they stay nicely in place.

This is a made on measure pattern. You can therefore regularly put the arm warmers on while making them to see how well they fit. I will tell you at every junction where you can add or subtract some stitches to make them fit better.
