Snug as a Bug Socks
Snug as a Bug socks are knitted from the toe up. The colorful, simple, and memorable pattern covers the entire sock, which also features a short row heel. Designed to complement the Snug as a Bug scarf, these socks will bring optimal coziness to your day.

Finished foot circumference:
14 (16.5) 19 (22) cm / 5.5 (6.5) 7.5 (8.5) in
The sock will fit best with about 2.5-5 cm / 1-2 in negative ease.
Yarn:
Jawoll Superwash Sock by Lang Yarns, 75 % Superwash virgin wool & 25 % Nylon, 210 m / 230 yds to 50 g.
1 ball each
C1 : Soft pink
C2 : Mint
Or 19 (26) 34 (42) g each / 80 (109) 143 (176) m / 87 (119) 156 (192) yds each of light fingering weight yarn.
Needles:
2.5 mm / US 1 1/2 DPN’s to cast on and same set of DPN’s, 9” circular or longer circular for Magic loop for the rest of the sock (knitter’s choice).
Notions:
Tapestry needle to weave in ends, 1 unique marker (BORM) if using small circular needles, row counter (recommended).
Gauge:
36 sts and 38 rws to 10 cm / 4 inches in pattern
Techniques:
German short rows, Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off or Icelandic bind off, Judy’s magic cast on or Turkish cast on, K2Tog, M1R, M1L, Knit, Purl, Slipping stitches, SSK, Stranded colorwork in the round, W&T.
