Snowy Night Mitts
Estonia has many wonderful mittens, and gloves, with unique techniques for construction and surface design. These mittens can be worked as fingerless mitts if preferred, and feature Diagonal Ribbing with a special increase technique, afterthought thumb, and Vikkel Braid. For finishing the fingerless mitts, striped garter stitch is used, while the mittens are finished with the classic pointed-tip. This pattern can be knitted in sport weight for a light-weight mitt or DK weight yarn for a denser, warmer mitten (or vice versa).
