Finished foot circumference: 18 (21, 24.5) cm / 7 (8¼, 9½)”

Yarn A: Viola Merino Fingering (4 ply / Fingering weight; 100% Superwash Merino; 366 m / 418 yds per 100 g skein)
Yarn B: Viola Sock (4 ply / Fingering weight; 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon; 421 m / 460 yds per 100 g skein)
Note: For a pair, you will need a total of approximately 120 (130, 140) g or about 480 (520, 560) m / 525 (570, 615) yds of 4 ply /Fingering weight yarn.

RED SOCKS
Yarn A: Frozen Earth; 230 (250, 270) m / 250 (275, 295) yds
Yarn B MC: Fireside; 210 (228, 246) m / 230 (250, 270) yds
Yarn B CC: Giant Peach; 42 (46, 50) m / 46 (50, 55) yds
BLUE SOCKS
Yarn A: Midnight; 192 (210, 228) m / 210 (230, 250) yds
Yarn B MC: Evergreen; 170 (182, 201) m / 185 (200, 220) yds
Yarn B CC: Mineral; 86 (92, 100) m / 95 (100, 110) yds
Gauge: 25 sts & 32 rounds = 10 cm / 4” over Body Rib pattern on 3.5 mm needles, with 1 strand each of yarns A and B held together, after blocking
Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle
Notes: Snowshoe socks are knit from the top down, with a heel flap and gusset construction. Yarns A and B are held together throughout, and stripes are included by changing out shades of either yarn A or B.
Notes are included in pattern for sample stripes, but stripe and colour possibilities are endless. Please don’t feel limited to the stripes used here!
